Position Summary
SAFE Hudson Valley is seeking one Marketing & Communications Intern to help establish and grow the organization’s digital presence. This internship is ideal for a creative, self-motivated individual interested in marketing, communications, graphic design, website development, nonprofit management, or public relations.
The selected intern will work closely with leadership to develop our website, create marketing materials, manage communications, and help build awareness of SAFE Hudson Valley’s mission and programs. This is a fully remote position with a flexible schedule, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while helping build a growing nonprofit organization from the ground up.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
● Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of the SAFE Hudson Valley
website.
● Create flyers, brochures, presentations, and other marketing materials.
● Develop content for social media platforms, newsletters, and community outreach
campaigns.
● Assist with branding and visual identity initiatives.
● Draft and edit organizational communications, announcements, and promotional
content.
● Assist with email marketing campaigns and contact list management.
● Help maintain consistency in messaging and branding across all platforms.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
● Current student or recent graduate in Digital Communications, Digital Media Arts,
Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Familiarity with Canva, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
● Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
Preferred
● Experience with website platforms such as Squarespace, Wix, or GoDaddy.
● Experience creating social media content and marketing materials.
● Basic knowledge of branding, graphic design, and content marketing.
● Interest in nonprofit work, community engagement, or youth development.
