Job Title: Data Processing & Reporting Specialist/Administrative Assistant
Position Overview: NYSOMCE is seeking a part-time (18-24 hours per week/flexible days) detail-oriented and organized professional to support data management, payment processing, and reporting functions. This primary role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating data transfers, and generating key reports to support operational needs. Secondary role will be responsible for working in conjunction with OMCE’s Grievance and Legal Defense assistant coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform accurate data entry and manage data transfers to and from the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC).
· Coordinate quarterly data integration and merging processes with the NYS Department of Civil Service.
· Process and reconcile payments made outside of the website, including checks and credit card transactions (e.g., BluePay, returned payments, and CardConnect statements).
· Generate, maintain, and analyze reports, including payroll deduction reports and other ad hoc reporting as required.
· Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
· Provide backup for Administrative Assistant (GLD and Office Admin) as needed.
Qualifications:
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
· Experience with data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
· Familiarity with payment processing systems and financial records preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· NYS employment experience/Union experience (preferred but not required)
