Key responsibilities of the job are:
- Engaging members in the operation of the clubhouse, working side-by-side with members, focusing on their strengths, talents, and abilities.
- Assisting members in effectively accessing all Clubhouse services, including housing, employment, education, assistance, wellness, and socialization opportunities.
- Utilizing Clubhouse model techniques effectively (meaningful member engagement, authentic relationships, operating by consensus).
- Providing job placement and coverage services for 1 to 2 Transitional Employment positions in the greater Worcester community.
- Participating in special activities both within the Genesis Club and within the community to promote goodwill, and raise awareness about the Clubhouse model.
Qualifications are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work, psychology, community health or related field preferred.
- Two years of experience working with people with mental illness, or familiarity with serious mental illness required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Two years of successful and transferable work experience.
