Position Summary

The Program Manager is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all aspects of youth and community programming at CJF America Smart Hubs—including the flagship CJF Summer Camp, afterschool enrichment, and workforce readiness initiatives. The Program Manager leads the strategy, staff development, operations, and partnerships that drive CJF’s impact across the region.

This individual will supervise Program Coordinators and work closely with senior leadership to ensure that all youth programs are effective, mission-aligned, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Design, implement, and evaluate high-impact programming for youth and families across Smart Hubs.

Manage annual program planning, budgeting, reporting, and impact tracking in coordination with the Executive Director.

Lead, mentor, and supervise Program Coordinators and seasonal staff, building a high-performing team culture.

Ensure all programs align with CJF America’s mission, goals, and equity-centered values.

Operations & Program Oversight

Oversee daily operations of youth programming, including CJF Summer Camp, afterschool programs, and special events.

Monitor program quality, safety standards, and compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies.

Develop and refine standard operating procedures for youth services and community events.

Ensure effective staffing, scheduling, and logistics for all program sites.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

Build and maintain partnerships with schools, local governments, non-profits, and private sector collaborators.

Represent CJF America at community meetings, stakeholder events, and fundraising activities.

Develop strategies for family engagement and community outreach to boost participation and program awareness.

Evaluation & Reporting

Use data-driven decision-making to assess program effectiveness and inform strategic improvements.

Support grant writing and reporting by providing program metrics, success stories, and operational insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred) in Education, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field.

Minimum 4–6 years of experience managing youth development or community-based programs, including direct staff supervision.

Proven track record in program design, community outreach, and cross-sector collaboration.

Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with program evaluation tools and administrative software (e.g., Excel, Google Suite, CRM platforms).

Willingness to travel occasionally and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Preferred Experience

Experience in non-profit leadership, school partnerships, or public service

Familiarity with culturally responsive programming

Bilingual (Spanish, French, or another language) is a plus
