Bio: Val Matta is the Founder of CareerShift, an award-winning job search tool named “The Best Job Search Tool on the Internet.” Val is passionate about helping students and alumni successfully find the right job for their skills and interests. After recognizing that the current online tools for job hunters were insufficient and inequitable, she created CareerShift in 2007.

CareerShift provides unique networking opportunities that enables job seekers to make meaningful connections and find unpublished jobs regardless of their existing social capital. CareerShift helps level the job seeking playing field for students and alumni at over 200 colleges and universities.

Val has an MBA from Cleveland State University and a BA from Saint Francis University. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and her areas of expertise include career management, networking, and job-hunting strategies.
