Attention SUNY Empire students! Have you explored CareerShift yet? If not, now is the perfect time to start!

In the recent Ask5 segment, What is CareerShift and Why Should You Add it to Your Job Search Tools, I had the opportunity to speak with Val Matta, co-founder of CareerShift, about how to make the most of this powerful job search platform. Val demonstrated how CareerShift can help uncover hidden job opportunities, find key contacts, and stay organized throughout your job search. She shared how the platform complements tools like Handshake and LinkedIn, offering a competitive edge through its unique networking and research features. Val also emphasized the value of proactive outreach and using CareerShift to access roles that aren’t always publicly posted. Whether you’re actively job hunting or planning your next move, this session is packed with practical, actionable tips to boost your success.
