Bio: Tara N. Burgess, ’06 is an accomplished executive leader with a strong track record in organizational growth, collaboration, and staff development. As the Executive Director of EPIC – Every Person Influences Children, she has driven transformative growth, achieving a 130% increase in revenue over five years. Under her leadership the agency has implemented two strategic plans, launched an agency-wide data management system, and integrated evidence-based programs into a strong set of agency developed curriculums to meet diverse stakeholder needs.
Recognized for her strategic partnerships and innovative growth strategies, Ms. Burgess collaboratively led a coalition of 10 human service agencies through a successful shared-space initiative, culminating in a $3.5 million capital campaign and the construction of a 25,000-square-foot facility. She also navigated significant financial challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the agency met all contract and grant deliverables while relocating to a new shared-space location.
