Bio: Cindy Conaway is a Professor of Digital Media and Media Studies and the Program Coordinator for Digital Communication. She holds a Ph.D. in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University, an MS in Instructional Systems Design from Florida State University and a BA in English from The University of Chicago. She is working on a book manuscript called Seinfeld at the Nexus of the Universe: A Digital Humanities Approach to Social Networks in the Entertainment Business. Her work has been published in the books How Television Shapes our World View, Geek Chic: Smart Women in Popular Culture, and in the journals IDEAH, Flow, Antenna, All About Mentoring and the Mid Atlantic Almanack. She has presented her work Digital Humanities Conferences, the Popular Culture Association, International PCA, SCMS, the Sloane Consortium, Console-Ing Passions, and the National Women’s Studies Association as well as at Emory and Skidmore Colleges. She has also worked as the Coordinator for Interdisciplinary Studies, developing the programs in Liberal Arts and General Studies.
